The Hubsan Westland Lynx Helicopter is a 250-size bi-rotor remote control helicopter with a detachable first-person view (FPV) camera that mounts on the skids. It features a "coaxial" blade configuration that uses two, counter-rotating blades--blades that spin at identical speeds when the aircraft is not moving forward or back to make fixed hovering easier. In addition, a rotating "flybar" above the rotors acts as a gyro, and is designed to make the helicopter more stable and easier to fly for beginners.

The built-in FPV camera can capture 720p HD video, take 5MP still photos. It can transmit wirelessly to a monitor built into the transmitter, and has a range of up to 328' line-of-sight, depending on conditions. A MicroSD memory card slot on the transmitter allows you to record video and store photos as well as play back what you have already shot.

The transmitter (TX) has a range of up to 984' line-of-sight, depending on conditions. It features a 3.5" LCD screen that allows you to monitor video from the FPV camera in real-time as well as view vital telemetry data sent from the helicopter. In addition, the controls features adjustable roll, elevator, and rudder sensitivities that can be set to suit your taste or skill level.

Finally, the flight software the Westland Lynx uses features rudder-center auto-trimming. After landing the helicopter and waiting for three seconds, the computer will find the rudder center point automatically and make the appropriate adjustments to ensure the nose will point in the expected direction when flying.
