Technical Characteristics

Product description

The XP2 Basic Quadcopter RTF with Spektrum DX6i Transmitter is a remote controlled, four-propeller quadcopter with a camera mount for capturing aerial video and photos. The camera mount is designed for lightweight HD cameras including models from GoPro, Contour, Sony and more. The compact quadcopter features 10" propellers and brushless Cobra motors that can support a payload of up to 14.1 oz. The quadcopter includes three lithium-polymer batteries as well, which each support up to 15 minutes of sustained flight time, depending on aircraft payload and flying conditions.

The XP2 Basic does not include a GPS module, however one can be added later on if required. The XP2 Basic uses the DJI Naza-M computerized flight control system. Because of the complexity involved in converting pilot input into motor response when flying multi-rotor aircraft, the flight control system is essential to ensuring the quadcopter maintains a stable flying condition. Plus, NAZA-M can provide some degree of correction against overzealous maneuvers and help avoid accidents. Because these is no GPS data, certain features of the NAZA-M system, such as Intelligent Orientation Control (IOC) and Return to Home, will not be available.

The XP2 Basic features the Spektrum DX6i 6-Channel DSMX Transmitter. The transmitter is a hand-held, 2.4 GHz radio controller with dual joysticks and additional toggles and buttons that is designed to simulate the experience of flying a full-scale aircraft. The DX6i comes pre-bound to the XP2, and works exclusively in Mode 2 operation. In Mode 2, roll and pitch are controlled with the pilot's right hand while yaw and throttle are controlled with the pilot's left hand. Mode 2 is the most common used in the U.S. The DX6i is BNF-compatible, meaning it can be used many other RC aircraft that have BNF-compatible receivers, not just the XP2. Plus, it has a ten space model memory so you won't have to worry about reprogramming the transmitter every time you switch to different aircraft in your collection.
